End of September events

We got settled in our apartment in Sidney on the island and spent some time trying to find out where we were going.  Our dear friends Chris and Karen Harriman came for a visit.  They disembarked off their cruise ship in Vancouver and we picked them up.  They were able to spend a few days with us and we took them back to Seattle to pick up their car.  We had such fun and it was great to reconnect with dear friends and laugh and catch up on the events in Idaho.

Here Chris and Al are waiting for Karen and me while we check out the fabric store in Granville Island in Vancouver.  They are peeking through the window.

In Seattle we really enjoyed the Space Needle.  The view was awesome.

Karen and me have such fun together.

Sitting watching the rotating restaurant at the top of the Space Needle.

Thank you our dear friends for taking time out of your busy schedules to visit us.  We had such a great time.

BACK TO WORK

Our assignment is to cover the island and to check on all the missionary companionships.  We attend District meetings, their Sacrament meetings, go teaching with them, and anything else that is needed.

We discovered a ferry that takes us around the traffic in Victoria.  We use it when we are traveling north to Duncan or Nanaimo.  It is a wonderful ride.

The Qualicum Beach District Sisters in the Nanaimo Zone.  We love them.  They are such devoted teachers.

Sister Struempler and Sister Bartlett

Sister Petersen and Sister Nelson

Our first P-day on the island.  This is paradise.

Our judges at the Sidney Ward Chili Cook off.  Elders Gleed, Lee, Thomas and Bowen.

New member Discussions at our apartment.

Elder Gleed and Elder Thomas enjoy the pizza.

One P-day we took Sister Dexter and Sister Lamb to Fisherman's Wharf for Lunch.  They were in need of just an afternoon diversion.

We visited the Sooke Sisters, Larsen and Han.

Wow talk about a red purse in every picture.  That is going to DI when I get home.  HAHA

September is over and onto October.
